Langkawi is an archipelago of 99 islands located in the Andaman Sea, off the northwest coast of Malaysia near the Thai border. Often called the “Jewel of Kedah,” this UNESCO Global Geopark is a tropical paradise known for its pristine white-sand beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, lush rainforests, and duty-free shopping. The main island is easy to explore, stretching from coast to coast in less than an hour’s drive.
